Celebrate Cinco de Mayo for Skillet Saturday and Roundup!
This is it, folks, for Cinco de Mayo from the SoS kitchen Today has been a busy day baking for a potential cafe customer (yay!) so tonight I’m sharing a (pre Failsafe) Skillet Fajita night we had at our house.
Now, ya’ll know that I ♥ Love ♥ my skillet dishes! Since I found various sizes of skillets that match my Great Grandmother’s, they have been used mercilessly! Fajitas are SO easy to make in the skillet and able to be custom made as everyone in my house likes different things. Traditionally you will find meat, onions and capsicum but I wanted chicken, onion and apple (no surprise).
Brown your chosen meat and veggies in your skillet on the stove top
Serve piping hot with leftover or freshly made homemade or store bought gluten free tortillas. *tip, to make ‘em sizzle like the restaurants, squeeze a lemon over the top of the HOT skillet just before placing on the table.
The girls are ready for action!
Enjoy! I hope you’ve like our Mexican fiesta for Cinco de Mayo and Happy Mother’s Day to everyone for tomorrow
